The work is being done by a company based in Panadura by the name Ariyaratne Construction, on a contract given by Nawaloka Group.

Meanwhile, the Evergreen Environmentalists Union has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission against the dismantling of the jogging track.

The respondents cited are minister John Amaratunga, the Land Reclamation Board chairman and the Wattala police OIC Eric Perera among others.
