Speaking at the memorial programme to commemorate former minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle, Mr. Rajapaksa said that they would take the side of the public and take an anti-government stance as the present government is being public unfriendly.

As the May Day is the day of labourers, we would definitely hold an anti-government rally on that day, he added.

The present government is destroying not only walkways but has also disrupted the lives of the public, he further said.
