Those affiliated to President Maithripala Sirisena have planned to convene at the party headquarters at Darley Road, Colombo.

Those affiliated to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa are to convene at the Navagamu Devalaya to dash coconuts and pray to the Gods to salvage women from the hardships they are compelled to face due to the present regime.

The government too, has planned several events to mark the International Women's Day.
