Noting that a proper measures have been already initiated, the Thera said that 75% of relevant officials are supportive of the move while the 25% does not back it.

The measures are being taken under the government's three-year long programme to bring about a toxic free country.

"Three years won't be enough to improve our local environment. But we will be able to heal our earth methodically. However, it will take a long time for the soil to detoxify," the Thera said.

"This danger should be realized immediately. We can produce fertilizer from our own environment. The farmer community should stand tall for this cause," the Thera added.
