'Sath Handa' threatened

A group pasting posters of the Weekend newspaper - Sath Handa has come under the death threats of a Municipal councillor a short while ago, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns.

The incident has occurred in the Koswatta area in Battaramulla.

The urban councillor affiliated to the Rajapaksa clan and a few others had arrived at the scene in a Jeep bearing the number 64- 4287.

Noting that he was an 'original' SLFP Kaduwela Municipal Council, the councillor had said that they would not tolerate anything which is being done against the leader who salvaged the country.

In derogatory language, the group had ordered to take down all the pasted posters in the area by tomorrow dawn and had seized the remaining posters, reports add.

The commotion had attracted the attention of bystanders and the group had left as the crowds began to gather, reports add.
