HIV rumours : Govt. will intervene, says President

President Maithripala Sirisena says that the government will intervene in the matter of a Kuliyapitiya student who not been admitted to a school due to HIV fears.

The President was speaking through the mobile phone of deputy minister Ranjan Ramanayake, who had visited the child's home in Kuliyapitiya today (05).

The President had further noted that this situation had arisen due to the misunderstanding of several individuals.
