President seeks ex-Malaysian PM's intervention for Muslim votes Featured

Fearing he will not be able to procure Muslim votes at the forthcoming election, Presidential candidate Mahinda Rajapaksa has decided to seek the services of former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamed to entice voters at a workshop to be held in Colombo next week, the website Lanka Truth has reported.

An advertisement to this effect has been placed in newspapers published today, the website reported.

The Sri Lanka Board of Investment, Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Road Development Authority are reported to be behind the move to seek the former Malaysian premier's intervention under the workshop called "The Importance of Hambantota 2014".

It will be held at the BMICH in Colombo on December 9 at 6.30 pm where a limited number of invitees will be told of Dr. Mahathir Mohamed's prowess in steering an economy which he successfully did in Malaysia.
