Also included is Chaminda Kumarasinghe, the son-in-law of Gunaratne who functioned as Guneratne's private secretary.
Legal redress is being sought on charges of misusing state funds amounting to Rs. 13.2 million for a political meeting during the last Presidential election.
The funds were reserved for a project to develop the Negombo lagoon and was to be initiated by the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation which falls under the Fisheries ministry.
Rs. 4.3 million of the fund were used to prepare t-shirts and caps for the meeting with Rs. 8.9 million spent on the meeting itself, reports say.
Accordingly, the Attorney General yesterday (20) ordered to seek legal redress against the above persons.
The PRECIFAC had obtained statements on this regard from 20 persons including Guneratne.
