The mother - Kasipillai Jeyalawadani, has made the appeal during a discussion at the Kilinochchi District Secretariat.

Speaking, she has said her daughter was taken away by the army on March 04, 2009 from the Irattuvaikkal area and haven't been heard of since then.

However, the girl - Kasipillai Jeromi had suddenly appeared in a campaign material of the Maithripala Sirisena during the Presidential election and upon learning that her daughter is alive, the mother is urging for help to find her.

"My daughter is in the left side on the picture featuring the President surrounded by schoolchildren. I was so happy to see her... I couldn't find where she is... I want to meet the President and ask where this picture was taken... Then I can find my daughter," she has said.

She added that although she has met with many politicians including R. Sampanthan over this matter, she is yet to receive any outcome.
