The letter recommends to transfer IP Jayasena Gamage to Kinniya and the move has even surprised other officials of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC).

IP Gamage is said to be a skilled police officer who has faced many obstacles that has come his way in a bid to hamper this investigation. His attempts on this particular investigation has been deemed very successful.

Upon inquiring on this regard from PRECIFAC secretary Lacille de Silva, he said that IP Gamage was a skilled police officer at the commission and has been transferred to his former station in Kinniya.

De Silva added that in a letter to the IGP, he had requested to transfer the officer at least to his hometown of Kuliyapitiya if a transfer was necessary, instead of sending him to the rural area of Kinniya.
