Ban on alleged LTTE affiliates' amended

A Gazette Extraordinary issued yesterday (20) by the Sri Lankan government has amended an earlier gazette issued by the Rajapaksa regime over the banning of several organisations and individuals said to be affiliated to the LTTE.

The List of Designated Persons published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1854/41 of March 21, 2014 banned 17 such organisations and 424 individuals after finding a secret dossier at a LTTE bunker in Mullivaikkal.

The banned individuals also included several deceased persons as well.
