An additional secretary to the industries ministry, removed on a recommendation by the presidential commission probing irregularities at Lanka Sathosa, is still a director of the institution.

The person in question is Duraisamy Jeevanathan.

He stands accused over a Rs. 13,000 million rice import fraud, Rs. 275 million fraud in the computerization of Sathosa and Rs. 280 million fraud in the construction of the Sathosa building in Kilinochchi.

Jeevanathan is expected to attend the Sathosa director board meeting due for 2.00 pm today (13).
