Former east chief minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, who is under arrest over the killing of TNA MP Joseph Pararajasingham, also stands accused over the murder of MP Nadaraja Raviraj.
The CID has found that ‘Cheran’, who had masterminded the Raviraj murder, is a close follower of the ex-CM.
Pillayan was arrested after he gave a statement at the CID on October 11.
Three suspects are in police custody over the Pararajasingham murder.
