Kotadeniyawa killing : first two suspects to be released

The DNA samples of the first two suspects, a 17-year old and father of one who were arrested in connection with the murder of five-year-old Seya Sadewmi in Kotadeniyawa, do not match.

Accordingly, the Magistrate has ordered the two suspects to be produced before court today, Thursday, October 1, within the course of the day and be released.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) requested the Minuwangoda Magistrate on Thursday to open the case, and made submissions.
