Accordingly he has paid attention to appoint one social media activist to each polling station and appoint another individual, apart from the officers attached to the election duties, to inform the Election Commissioner regarding special occurrences through an SMS.

He has made this decision following a discussion with social media activists which continued for nearly 2 hours.

The discussion which was held at the Department of Election was based on the criticism raised through the social media with regard to the reliability of the election.

Pointing out the significance of the citizen's possessing sound knowledge on election the Election Commissioner has stated that all measures will be taken to ensure that the citizens possess the required knowledge.
