The questioning is to take place over information revealed on this regard by two Army Intelligence officers who are currently under arrest over the case.

In the next few days, two Army Colonels are to be arrested over the statements obtained from the 02 arrested officers, who are Tamil nationals, reports say.

Karuna's men

The two officers are said to be staunch supporters of former LTTE leader of the East - Vinayagamurthy Muralitharan alias Karuna, who later joined the UPFA and became a Deputy minister.

After Karuna defected from the LTTE, these two had worked with the Army.

According to investigations done on the case so far, it has been revealed that Ekneligoda was abducted in Rajagiriya on Jan. 24, 2010 and was later taken to the Minneriya Army camp.

At that time, the aforementioned Army Colonels were attached to the Minneriya camp located in the Polonnaruwa District.
