Thajudeen death : Yoshitha to be quizzed Featured

The remains of prominent Sri Lankan rugby player - Wasim Thajudeen, who was mysteriously murdered, are to be exhumed next week, reports say.

Police state Wasim Thajudeen was murdered and attempts were taken to stage that the death was due to a car accident.

Initially, it had appeared that Thajudeen had died after his car had crashed into a wall near Shalika Grounds in Narahenpita and gone up in flames.

On July 27, the CID informed courts that Thajudeen's death was not an accident.

Colombo additional magistrate Nishantha Peiris ordered JMO Ananda Samarasekara to submit the final post mortem report on September 10.

Meanwhile, it is said that Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, is to be questioned soon, on this regard.
