This will bring under one roof all the data separately maintained by state institutions, in order to automate public services and the e-services for the citizens.

At present, departments such as registration of persons, immigration and emigration, elections, census and statistics and pensions have to maintain data at huge costs.

The new data centre will help minimize those costs, says ICTA.
