When contacted, the Thera told Sri Lanka Mirror that their discussion lasted for nearly 1 ½ hours.

The president had gone there secretly.

Gunawansa Thera said they had discussed about the country and the people.

On the previous day, the Thera, along with Prof. Carlo Fonseka, filed a writ petition seeking annulment of the FCID.

The case will be taken up on June 11.
