Reports reaching Sri Lanka Mirror say that the man had lost his job following the change in government, and is now hibernating at home.

Some days ago, he had spent an entire day at the exit terminal at the airport after being told that the girl was to leave for Singapore.

A friend of the man felt sad and gave a call to the girl and asked her to give him a call, saying that he would be heartbroken.

With a big grin, the man answered the call from his girlfriend, but was told that she was not in the country and to go home without wasting time.
