Sources from the CAA say that the resignation had taken place due to a disagreement with the minister of Commerce - Rishard Bathiudeen.

The resignation has been tendered to the minister and the ministry secretary.

Rumy Marzook has been working as the CAA chairman for around 09 years.

Minister Bathiudeen has said that he would hold talks with the President and Prime minister to appoint a new CAA chairman.
