General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) - Ven. GalabodaAtte Gnanasara Thera has been arrested by the police after the Thera arrived at the Cinnamon Garden police to give a statement.
A warrant was earlier issued on the Thera for taking part in a protest defying court orders.
Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', BBS Chief Executive Officer Dilantha Vithanage said that the Thera was unable to appear before court as he had gone overseas.
