Keheliya and Manusha sought nominations from the UNP at the upcoming general election, while Peiris wanted him to be named on the national list, said the spokesman.

However, Wickremesinghe is yet to respond to their request.

Keheliya speaks ill of Mahinda

Meanwhile, Keheliya told the media in Kandy yesterday that Mahinda Rajapaksa has had a regime of his own.

His rule collapsed due to many mistakes committed by the UPFA, he said.

He added that there would be no question about his vote base at the upcoming polls.
