Tiran's petition to be taken up tomorrow

The Fundamental Rights Violation petition filed by Director General of Divineguma Kithisiri Ranawake, Area Co-ordinator of Divineguma Bandula Chandrasiri, and parliamentarian Tiran Alles will be called before the Supreme Court at 10.00 a.m. tomorrow (27).

Ranawake and Chandrasiri have complained of an illegal arrest by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division. Alles has complained of a likely illegal arrest by the FCID and requested the court to prevent his arrest.

All three petitioners want the Financial Crimes Investigation Division declared illegal.

The Bench will comprise Chief Justice K. Sripavan, Justice Eva Wanasundera and Justice Rohini Marasinghe.
