Remanded former economic development minister Basil Rajapaksa, who is being kept at the Colombo National Hospital’s merchant ward, and Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera of the Jathika Hela Urumaya, has had meeting behind closed doors for more than five hours last week, 'LankaNewsWeb' reports.
Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror' on this regard, JHU media secretary Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe said although it was true that the Thera had visited MP Rajapaksa at the hospital, they had not held a 5-hour long discussion.
He further said that the Thera had made the visit after informing the party and the President.
