Aishwarya Rai recently featured in a printed ad for one popular jewellery brand, Kalyan Jewellers.

While, Ash as usual looks super gorgeous in the picture, one black kid standing near the diva grabbed everyone's attention. The image shows well ornamented Aishwarya Rai sitting in a royal fashion while, a black boy is holding an over-sized umbrella over her head.

The image not only gives a reflection of child labour and the bygone days of slavery but it also supposedly promotes racism. This controversial Kalyan Jewellers ad featuring Aishwarya has come up as a topic of discussion and some activists have expressed strong displeasure about it.

As a matter of fact, a group of activists have written an open letter to the jewellery brand and Aishwarya, expressing their objection and has urged them to stop circulation of the same.
