Rodrigo had recently stated that legal redress against the sports ministry would not be sought despite all present FFSL officials losing their chance to be re-elected at the next FFSL elections.

The officials are of the view that although this could be the personal view of the FFSL president, it was not the general view of all officials.

According to the advice of the Attorney General provided to the Sports Ministry, persons who have held posts in sports associations for over 04 years will not be eligible for re-election.

As officials of the FFSL have been there for a prolonged period of time, it is said that they will not be able to contest the next FFSL election.
