Talking with several SLFP seniors who had gone to visit Rajapaksa at his home in Medamulana yesterday (08), the former President has also expressed willingness to accept a National List MP portfolio.
Emphasising that he would never leave the SLFP to found any other political party, Rajapaksa has urged the senior SLFPers to convey this to the party leadership.
However, 'Sri Lanka Mirror' learns that the present SLFP Chairman - President Maithripala Sirisena and SLFP patron - former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga have already reached a consensus not to allow Rajapaksa to rise again within the SLFP.
