A director at the Sri Lanka Ports Authority has been involved in a lorry scam from a businessman whereby he has ripped off Rs.800,000.

This discovery of the lorry scam had been made by Ports and Shipping Minister Arjuna Ranatunga.

On an inquiry made by srilankamirror, Amaradasa Gunawardena the secretary of the Ports and Shipping Ministry said he was unaware of anything.

But he said there had been similar cases in the past.
