A 27 year old young woman has died from the attack while her mother and brother are being treated at the Karapitiya Hospital for grievous injuries.

A neighbour who had allegedly committed the crime, had committed suicide after jumping before a moving train in Ginthota, early this morning.

Police say that he is barely recognizable due to his head injuries.
