The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (26) ordered to impound the passport of the Former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage.
The CIABOC has instructed immigration authorities to temporarily impound Aluthgamage's passport for a period of 3 months, pending an investigation into a complaint against him.
Earlier, passports of former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and UPFA MP Sajin Vass Gunawardena were also impounded pending investigations into corruption charges.
