Mahanayake of the Kotte Sri Kalyani Samagri Dhamma Maha Sangha Sabha Venerable Dr. Iththapana Dhammalankara Thero blessed the new Prime Minister.

He was sworn in as the Prime Minister on January 9 before the President Maithripala Sirisena. This is the third time Mr. Wickremesinghe has become the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka

His wife Maithri, Minister Karu Jayasuriya and several other officials have also participated in the event.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister's office states that Temple Trees will only be used for the official duties of the Prime Minister and Mr. and Mrs. Wickremesinghe will not reside in Temple Trees.
