Noting that it is the usual policy of the CPC to issue fuel only after a monetary payment is made, the MP says that fuel has been obtained to the Petrol station in Ambalangoda (to which he has connections to) in the same manner.
Although several representatives of the company owning the petrol station in question have gone to the CPC to make a monetary payment yesterday, they have been informed that it was not possible to do so as the station was 'sealed', the MP has said speaking to media.
He has also added that he would resort to legal action over the bogus news reports claiming that he has defrauded Rs. 170 million.
Noting that the CPC is yet to issue an official statement on this regard, the MP urges the CPC authorities to take measures to rectify this erroneous situation.
