In a notification, the Secretariat highlights that the images should be removed by the individuals responsible for erecting them while the President has requested the public to avoid displaying cutouts with his image in the future.

The Presidential Secretariat has requested the removal of all cutouts and banners with images of President Maithripala Sirisena, on display across the island.
