Head of the National Patriotic Front (NPF) Ven. Uvathanne Sumana Thera is set to submit a complaint to the Bribery Commission over a corruption and extortion racket running into Rs.5 billion.

The NPF has also planned to hold a mass protest this afternoon opposite the Fort Railway Station demanding the authorities to investigate the head of Self Employment against whom there have been numerous petitions.

Convener of the Anti-Corruption Organisation Wasantha Samarasinghe said that he will be visiting the Bribery Commission to present several cases of abuse of State resources by the previous government over the recent past.

Already UNP Member of Parliament Ranjan Ramanayake has appealed to the public to come forward with any information pertaining to corruption and fraud that took place under the Mahinda Rajapaksa government.

Ramanayake said that he has already seen positive signs of the public coming forward to help the new administration investigate corruption and fraud.

Meanwhile police are investigating the discovery of four Defender vehicles found in a garage at Kirulapone in Colombo 5 and a luxury jeep in Poddala.
