A government minister and a certain trade union are pressurizing the SLBC to remove the producer of its ‘Subharathi’ programme Sudarmika Wijeratne, CaFFE says.

It has written to the media minister and the SLBC chairman, lodging its protest over this incident of political interference.

The letter notes the demanded removal of Sudharmika has nothing to do with her profession, but due to the politics of her husband, lawyer Ajith Prasanna.

CaFFE hopes the SLBC will not take political revenge from one of its employees at the instigation of a government minister and a TU.
