Hemas to acquire local agent of Evergreen Shipping Agency?

Hemas Holdings PLC is planning to acquire the Sri Lankan agent of Thai based Evergreen Shipping Agency, sources say.

Although Public Limited Companies are required to inform shareholders and partners in addition to the Director Board when making an acquisition such as this, it is said that Hemas Holdings is yet to do so.

The Evergreen agent of Sri Lanka is Greenlanka Shipping Ltd, which has been in operation since 1986.
