Ajith Jayasekara, who was the director of SLPL and later the officer in charge of match security, had taken with him the valuable official car when he left Sri Lanka Cricket, according to reports reaching Sri Lanka Mirror.

He had given a low estimation for the value of the Allion car, of around Rs. 01 million only.

When contacted, interim committee member Kushil Gunasekara told SLM that Jayasekara had been given the car as per a privilege offered to retiring executive grade officials of SLC.

However, compared to what other officials had received upon their retirement, what Jayasekara had received was only nominal, according to him.

Jayasekara continues to draw a salary from SLC, while using his sick leave, but at the same time gets paid for working in Nawaloka Group owned by former cricket chief Upali Dharmadasa, reports say.
