Weerawansa also alleged fraud in a Central Bank bond issue, saying that after announcing bonds worth Rs. 40 billion, it had now been raised to Rs. 80 billion, applicable for 14-years at an annual interest of 14.23 per cent.
The buyers have not been revealed, he said, adding that according to what he heard, the company owned by the son-in-law of the CB governor was involved.
