He announced his decision at a Press Conference held today at Kotte.

Dissanayake said President Mahinda Rajapaksa had done nothing for the welfare and development of the film industry without any plan of work for the past nine years despite his support for him on two previous occasions.

He charged that the President was only concerned of glorifying himself with the executive powers of the post.

Dissanayake said he decided to join Maithripala Sirisena to fight against corruption, fraud and family interests promoted by the President.
