Police was to blame :
Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', Jagoda said that the police had launched an inhumane attack on his fellow party members, injuring them.
Noting that his fellow party members only had banners in their hands, Jagoda said that the police had damaged state assets by breaking the glass doors with their batons before hurling his fellow party members onto the broken glass and assaulting them.
He added that they had arrived at the department to inquire as to how the law which was not imposed against Arjun Mahendran and Wimal Weerawansa could only affect Kumara Gunaratnam.
