The mission, initiated by the coordination office of the common candidate, is to create turmoil through officials, MPs and ministers within the government.

It is said that common candidate Maithripala Sirisena has urged his affiliates within the government to support him while being in the government until the final moment.

Speaking to 'Sri Lanka Mirror', a spokesperson of the common candidate's office said that several government MPs, ministers and SLFP electorate organisers are to join Maithripala Sirisena in the next few days after nominations are handed over tomorrow (08).
