Last September, Senathirajah succeeded R. Sampanthan as the leader of the Illankai Thamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK), the largest constituent in the alliance. However, veteran parliamentarian Sampanthan remains the TNA leader.
Asked whether the five-party alliance was likely to indicate its position ahead of nominations scheduled for Dec 8, MP Senathiraja told "We are in the process of consulting our representatives at different levels pending a meeting possibly on Dec 20 to finalize the decision."
