We'll talk only if govt responds says SLMC Featured

The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) will not get into any discussions with the government unless it responds to its proposals submitted earlier, the party's national organiser Shafeek Rajabdeen said.

He said that the SLMC has yet to decide on who they will support at next month's Presidential election and there was no need to rush into any conclusion.

Meanwhile the Supreme Council of the SLMC is scheduled to meet today (Thursday) to discuss their stand of the Presidential election.

Rajabdeen said that there had been no discussions held yesterday between the SLMC and the government contrary to some reports.
