Speaking at a media briefing of the joint opposition in Colombo today (01), Weerawansa said that the police had refused to arrest Yoshitha Rajapaksa, but the decision to arrest him was taken by the Prime minister, 02 police officers and several NGO bigwigs.

The facts about Yoshitha's foreign training was raised in parliament by JVP leader - Anura Kumara as a prelude to the arrest, MP Weerawansa added.

Weerawansa further added that members of the joint opposition had gone to visit Yoshitha and that he is consuming food from prison, not food brought from home.
