The minister was speaking at the project launch which was held at the Independence Square today (29).

He added that the objective was to make Colombo a city where people dwelled.

Speaking at the event, Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the government would make Sri Lanka a country with high income by 2030 and in the future, Sri Lankans need not go overseas in search of livelihood as those conditions would exist within Sri Lanka itself.

Kandy would also be developed to become a major city.
