Giritale camp office sealed
In the meantime, a team from the military police has gone to the Giritale military intelligence camp and sealed the office where the documents needed for the investigation are being kept.
Military spokesman Brig. Jayanath Jayaweera said this was a measure intended to carry out the investigation in a transparent manner.
Steps have been taken to follow a court order to submit documents pertaining to the incident, he said.
Five military personnel are in remand custody in connection with Ekneligoda’s disappearance.
