Among them was Sandhya Ekneligoda - the wife disappeared journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda.

They charge that justice is yet to be served with regard to the disappeared although one year has elapsed since President Maithripala Sirisena was elected to office.

Afterwards, the gathering had commenced a march towards the Presidential secretariat. Midway, they were transported to their destination by the police.

In a petition addressed to the President and Prime minister, they urge for the truth with regard to enforced and involuntary disappearances.
