The Prime Minister said that there are too many vehicles on the roads of Colombo and if the traffic congestion issue is not resolved then the public will need to start using helicopters.

Accordingly, the Transport Minister and City Planning and Water Supply Minister have been assigned to submit a short term and a long term proposal in this regard within two months, said the Prime Minister and added that according to the proposal a transport system also will be implemented to cater to the middle class.
