Publishing its annual worldwide round-up of journalists held hostage, imprisoned or missing, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said that 54 professional journalists, including one woman are currently held hostage worldwide.
"Fifty-four journalists are currently held hostage worldwide, compared with 40 at the same time last year. This is a 35% increase. To this appalling figure should be added the three citizen-journalists and four media workers who are also currently held by non-state groups" reveals the report.
